Credit terms glossary

Trade credit
An agreement where a buyer can purchase goods or services on account, paying the supplier at a later date as agreed.
Credit limit
The maximum outstanding balance a buyer may carry with a supplier at any one time.
Trade reference
A third-party supplier who can speak to a buyer's payment history and reliability.
Reason code
A structured label attached to a credit decision that explains the basis for approval, decline, or conditions.
Audit trail
A chronological record of all actions taken on an application, including who did what and when.
Magic link
A single-use, time-limited URL that authenticates a user without requiring a password.
Tenant isolation
An architectural principle ensuring that one organisation's data is inaccessible to any other tenant sharing the same platform.
TOTP
Time-based One-Time Password — a type of MFA code generated by an authenticator app, valid for about 30 seconds.
